It’s not everyday you get the opportunity to visit one of Europe’s biggest paddlesports factories to find out how kayaks are made. Being allowed into the inner sanctum of Palm Equipment’s rotational moulding facility was an opportunity not to be missed so a few weeks ago I headed off to sunny Somerset.
Having the full bells and whistles guided tour from Palm Equipment‘s marketing manager, Paul Robertson, was the icing on the cake. A font of knowledge for all things paddling; Paul enthused through the whole session and made the tour thoroughly enjoyable and educational.
You can read my Palm Equipment factory visit article and learn how roto moulded kayaks are made by heading over to sitons.
